Programs that assist a student through proven therapeutic and experiential methods and offer a myriad of living and education conditions may be considered by the foundation. Schools offering specific therapy or environments, that meet the needs of a particular condition or therapy, may or may not be offered by other organizations. It is up to the family to consider the needs and requirements of a student before placement with a program. The foundation cannot guarantee results for any program nor can the foundation expect that a method of therapy from a school or program be effective. The foundation works with many schools and organizations across the United States and abroad. Our list expands with appropriate organizations that offer directions to assist the needs of the student.
Though the foundation is involved with helping source funds, the foundation coordinates efforts with various schools or organizations. The foundation does not place students into programs. The foundation maintains a list of approved consultants and coordinators who will work with the family on particular needs to include living skills, education and specialized therapy.
Educational Consultants & Program Coordinators
As there are many types of schools and programs offering some form of assistance, the foundation will only suggest professionals who have experience and/or accreditation that meet or exceed strict requirements and conditions.
Educational consultants, program coordinators and individuals who offer direction on various types of schools and programs base their suggestions on evaluations, personal judgment, student needs, and family conditions. The foundation supports consultants and coordinators in their assistance to a family with an at-risk student. It is advised to request credentials, accreditation or experience in placing students from consultants or coordinators.
